Keyboard
A keyboard contains keys that allow a user to eneter data and instructions into the computer . All keyboards have the typing area the numbers and letters, punctuation marks, and other basic keys.  Many desktop keyboards  also have a numeric keypad located
 on the right side of the keyboard. A standard computer  keyboard is sometimes called a QWERTY keyboard because of the layout of its typing area which is similar to that of a typewriter

Formatting a Diskette
When you format a disk, you divide the disk into areas called tracks and sectors

Steps to Formatting disk

• Insert the disk into the flopppy drive.
• Double click on my computer. 
• Right click on the drive you want to format.
• Select format from the  menu .
• Choose the full option. You may choose quick on a disk that has already been used, but it does not check the disk for errors and so is not generally recommended
• Enter a label for your disk if you wish. you may use up to 11 letters and/or numbers.
• If this disk will be used to boot your pc, check the box marked'copy system files' to format the disk  as bootable.
• Click the start button 
• View the results to make sure the disk was properly formatted. 
• Click the close button on the results window.
• Click the close button on the format window.

Word processing
word processing program is used most for  writting letters, students  doing homework etc 

You can change the text- colour, size, bold, underlined, italic and format. you can copy and paste.

there is the grammar check too if you made a mistake and you don't  know it will be underlined with red so you can change the word

There is so many word processing programs  for example: windows office word, open office etc
